Twin City Stage will hold auditions for The Outsiders from 2-5
p.m. on Sunday, August 24 at the Arts Council Theatre, 610 Coliseum Drive,
Winston-Salem. No appointment is
necessary.
Teen rivalry in a small Southern town
sets the stage for this dramatic interpretation by Christopher Sergel of the
novel by S. E. Hinton. Seen through the
eyes of young Ponyboy, a Greaser on the wrong side of life, The
Outsiders tells the story of the ongoing conflict between the
underprivileged Greasers and the rich kid Socs in rural Oklahoma. When a territorial battle goes wrong, Ponyboy
and his friends have to grow up quickly, holding on to their hope and their friends
in the midst of a very climactic ending.
Cheri Van Loon will direct The
Outsiders, the first Youth Production Series play in Twin City Stage’s
2014-15 season. There are roles available
for 9 males (ages 14-21), 3 females (ages 14-18), and 2 women and 3 men (ages
25-60).
Performance dates for The Outsiders are October 17-19,
2014. All performances will be held at
the Arts Council Theatre. For more
information, please call Twin City Stage at (336) 748-0857 x201 or visit the
