"WINSTON-SALEM, NC – As a thank you to its customers and
its community, Finnigan’s Wake Irish Pub and Kitchen will combine two
traditional celebrations into one, free
event on March 17th,
2016.
In years
past, festival goers pay for a $30 ticket to enjoy food, drink specials, and
more than 12 hours of live entertainment.
This year there will be no entry
fee and many amenities will be the same.
“We are so
grateful to Winston-Salem and our customers – many of whom come visit us from across
the U.S. – for making the pub such a success for a decade,” says proprietor
Philip “Opie” Kirby. “I feel blessed to
be able to follow my dream, and this year for St. Patrick’s Day, we really
wanted to celebrate big.”
Festivities
will start at 7:00 a.m. with an
all-you-can-eat Irish breakfast buffet for only $10.00. Traditional menu favorites, such as fish ‘n
chips and Guinness Stew, will be available at regular menu price beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Music will
be acoustic with breakfast and lunch, and beginning at 3:00 p.m. the pub will open its 4,000 square foot tent in the parking area adjacent to Finningan’s
Wake. More live music, Irish dancers,
the Jamestown Pipe and Drum Corp, the Wake and more will begin at 4:00 p.m. and
last until midnight, with a DJ spinning until 2:00 a.m.
Kirby says,
“We have waited 10 years for this event to engage our customers and community
in what we hope will be a Winston-Salem tradition for many more years to come.”"
