1. Part of the solution may be to support the cool cities initiatives and the specific policies of the recently passed resolution that deals with continuing and supporting environmentally friendly actions like LEEDS buildings. Also using Star Energy equipment and alternative transportation options (GTA,PART regional transit, bike trails and sidewalks. (50)
2. Roads – Painter Boulevard needs to be the focus. Increased Bus Service – 30 minute bus service must be supported. Bike Facilities – Program is aspirational but funding is a challenge. Light Rail – no funds – maybe several years away (42)
3. Continue to maintain the infrastructure and support measures that protect and enhance the quality of life to make the region attractive. (22)
4. I would support incentives that are paid AFTER the jobs are created, which is the way our current policy works. (21)
5. Continue maintenance on the infrastructure, support public safety/crime prevention initiatives (for instance gang units and construction of fire stations), support educational initiatives that ensure a skilled workforce. (28)
6. Minimum wage is a great concept but another consideration would have to be the implications for the City of Greensboro budget. (22)
7. The 2025 Comprehensive plan is the tool I would use here as a guideline and decision making tool. Neighborhood compatibility is a strong consideration here too. (27)
8. Yes, I support certain aspects of the HOT. We need collaboration in regional planning, regional landfill solutions and economic development recruitment. (22)
9. To make an informed decision, I would wait until we have the SBI report and subsequent release of information by the city council. Clearly there are issues that must/are being addressed under Chief Bellamy. (35)
10. No. The Citizens Advisory Committee sub committee of the Human Relations Commission handles this carefully and well. (18)
