In one case, a fraudulent blood alcohol concentration report was placed in a case file, and a prosecutor dismissed a DWI charge as a result. In another case, a prosecutor dismissed a case because the charging officer failed to appear in court, but the officer had never been subpoenaed. More typically, prosecutors neglected to complete required paperwork when they dismissed cases for apparently legitimate reasons.
