AJ Blake tells me he has been fired from the Greensboro Police Department. He underwent an administrative hearing on July 17, and received the news on July 21.
Blake's supporters had questioned why the police department scheduled Blake's termination hearing ahead of a July 27 court date for an hearing on the officer's appeal to his two district court convictions for assault on a female. Assistant Chief Anita Holder declined to discuss the matter, citing personnel law.
