At-large candidate Gary Nixon, who is retired from an engineering company that provided consulting services for municipalities and counties, says he would like to put that experience to work as a member of the Greensboro City Council.
"My experience working with numerous municipalities, their staff and elective officials should be a positive factor in the election," he says. "I have worked with many good councils and those that don’t do well together in my 34 years as a consultant to municipal governments in four states. Although there are several effective members on the Greensboro council, many of the incumbents have been ineffective or, worse yet, have done very little."
