With 11 of 12 precincts reporting, Democratic challenger James Taylor, a juvenile justice counselor, has seized an insurmountable lead in his municipal runoff race against incumbent Evelyn Terry for the Southeast Ward seat on the Winston-Salem City Council.
Taylor has received 307 votes as compared to 210 votes for Terry, a one-term incumbent. At the moment, 4.8 perent of voters in the Southeast Ward cast their ballot on Tuesday.
