Veteran political consultant Bill Burckley announces that Greensboro City Council District 5 Representative Trudy Wade will file to run against Rep. Katie Dorsett in NC District 28.
"She's gonna go file this morning," Burckley said. "She had looked at doing it two years ago. She might even have looked four years ago, and she just couldn't do it for business reasons."
He also said Wade was "all ragged out" from winning a tough district race against Sandy Carmany in 2007.
"We Looked at it more seriously this year," Burckley says, "looked at the numbers." He says they talked about it extensively after last night's district meeting.
"We went to Elizabeth's Pizza and hashed out some things," he says. "She made her final decision this morning.
Dorsett has held her seat in District 28 since 2003.
