The most recent campaign finance reports available from the NC Board of Elections indicate — no surprise — that incumbents in the Triad's state legislative districts enjoy a significant fundraising advantage over challengers. The districts are drawn to be heavily weighted towards either the Democratic or Republican Party, making it difficult for challengers to successfully compete.
The next round of reports is due in mid-July.
