The Associated Press' Gary Robertson reports: NC Rep. Larry Brown, a Republican from Kernersville, made a homophobic slur in an e-mail referencing an award presented to Democratic House Speaker Joe Hackney from Equality NC.
Brown is reported to have wrote, "I hope all the queers are thrilled to see him. I am sure there will be a couple legislative fruit loops there in the audience."
