DJ Hardy has apparently announced plans to run for Greensboro City Council in District 1. The seat is currently occupied by Dianne Bellamy-Small.
Another new candidate for city council is Chris Lawyer, who is running at large.
Filing begins in July. The primary election is scheduled for October, and the general election takes place on the first Tuesday in November.

I hope candidates who intend on depending on only facebook for their online presence remember that not everybody surfs around the internet permanently logged into facebook and that many of us do not want to have to log in and like someone just to read about their candidacy. In other words, if you are just going to rely on the spy machine, at least adjust your setting so that all of your pages are publicly accessible... Mr. Hardy.
