Ham's Coming to Downtown Greensboro

Ham’s Restaurants, a Greensboro institution since 1935, will begin renovations for its newest location at 324 South Elm Street.  Company President Rocky Scarfone announced that a deal had been reached with Jim Marshall of Lindbrook Development to open Ham’s eighth location.   Ham’s Restaurant will be on the first floor at 324 South Elm Street in the location formerly occupied by the restaurant  Bin 33. Renovations will begin immediately, transforming the location to the Ham’s concept.

“I have looked at many locations throughout the past year in Downtown Greensboro and this site was a perfect fit due to the close proximity to City View Apartments and all the new development currently happening Downtown,” stated Scarfone.

Ham’s will continue to offer all the favorites including their homemade chips, burgers , sandwiches, and wings, along with their expanded menu which includes a new lighter fare section. “While we are adding some new menu items such as oysters and crab legs at our newest location, Ham’s of course will continue traditions such as $0.99 kids meals on Mondays and $2.99 Classic Cheeseburger Tuesdays, twenty four beers on tap, karaoke, and live music will continue a tradition that started in 1935 with great food, great drinks and great prices," added Scarfone, “I feel this is another great step for Ham’s and I’m proud to continue to be a part of a growing downtown Greensboro .”

Downtown Greensboro, Inc. (DGI) President and CEO Ed Wolverton said, “Ham’s restaurant is a popular and established local brand and will be a welcome addition to the downtown dining and entertainment scene.”

Mayor Robbie Perkins stated, "I am excited that a Greensboro institution is opening in our Center City and I am sure that the Ham’s will be a success in downtown."
