Republicans of Guilford County to Host “A Tribute to the Honorable Howard Coble” Saturday Night Governor McCrory, Senator Burr, and many other VIPs will join in honoring Congressman Coble

Republicans of Guilford County will be hosting “A Tribute to the Honorable Howard Coble” this Saturday night, February 8th, at 6:30pm at the High Point Country Club.

“This will be a very special night honoring Our Congressman Howard Coble for his tremendous legacy of service to our county, our district, our state, and our nation,” Guilford GOP Chairman Mike Picarelli said earlier today. “It is a testament to the incredible positive impact that Congressman Coble has had that so many special guests including Governor Pat McCrory and Senator Richard Burr will be joining us to honor Congressman Coble.”

Congressman Howard Coble has served the people of North Carolina and the people of the United States for 60 years serving in the Coast Guard, as North Carolina Secretary of Revenue under Governor Jim Holshouser, in the State House of Representatives, and for the last thirty years as Our Congressman from North Carolina’s 6th District.  Congressman Coble is not seeking reelection and will be retiring from Congress at the end of 2014.

The entire focus of Saturday night’s dinner will be on thanking and honoring Congressman Howard Coble.   Speakers including Governor McCrory, Senator Burr, former US Transportation Secretary Jim Burnley , Congresswoman Virgina Foxx, Congressman Patrick McHenry, Congressman Mark Meadows, Senate President Pro Tempore Phil Berger, and Speaker of the North Carolina House Thom Tillis. The master of ceremonies for the event will be Lt. Governor Dan Forest. Entertainment will be provided by the Southeast Express, Congressman Coble’s favorite bluegrass band.
