Clemmons Youth Wins Spot on Junior National Tae Kwon Do Team Will compete in Taipei City, China, for World Title

"Tiger Kim’s World Class Tae Kwon Do Center announced that David Kim, a 10th grader at West Forsyth High School, has secured a spot on the Junior National Tae Kwon Do Sparring team. He will travel this month to Taipei City, Chinese Taipei, March 26th- 29th, to compete in the 2014 Junior World Championship
Competition concluded at the 2014 USA Taekwondo National Team Trials in January in Colorado Springs, Colo., where the 2014 Junior National Team was determined. The five-day competition also decided the 2014 Senior, Junior and Cadet National Teams, as well as the 2014 Youth Olympic Games Qualifier Team.
“We have a great team, but now we have to have some training because we are going to have some fierce competition,” National Team Coach Patrice Remarck said of the four teams named last month. “Korea, Iran, the Croatian team—they’re all very good and they will be a challenge. Yes, we have a good team, and we have a lot of potential, but we have to make sure we bring the best out of them.”
David is trained by Master Kyu Lee, World Champion and Head Coach of the Tiger Kim
World Class Tae Kwon Do Sparring Team. He is also coached and trained by his father,
Master Woo Sup Kim, the three-time Korean a three-time Korean National Champion and

Captain of the 2012 U.S. Tae Kwon Do Olympic team."
