"at 3.30am this morning, Winston-Salem Police responded to 1641 Woods Rd in reference
to a shooting. Prior to arriving on
scene, officers located the victim, Marvin Toney, 23, m, who was already being transported to the
hospital in a passenger vehicle. The victim was suffering from a gunshot wound
to his left leg.
Toney, who resides at 912 East 13th St., Winston-Salem, stated he was walking in the parking lot between
buildings 1631 and 1641 Woods Road. As he approached a black four door
Kia, two shots were fired. The Kia was occupied by three or four black males.
However, there is no further suspect description.
The victim was transported to Wake Forest University Baptist
Medical center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation into this incident is continuing. Anyone
