Greensboro Man Wanted in Connection with Trent Street Homicide

GREENSBORO, NC (July 14, 2014) –  Greensboro police are looking for Brandon Jawon Pompey, 26, in connection with Friday’s shooting at Timber Hollow Apartments.

Detectives obtained a warrant for Pompey’s arrest after developing sufficient evidence to link him to the fatal shooting of 24-year-old Clarence Eugene Toran, Jr. who was found deceased the parking lot of 3315 Trent Street shortly before 4 am on July 11th.
Pompey, of 1015 Glendale Drive, faces a First Degree Murder charge in the death of Toran, and a charge of Attempted First Degree Murder for the shooting of Toran’s young brother, Terence Allen Toran, 22.    

Police caution that Pompey, who also goes by “Lil Man” and “Shitchea”, should be considered armed and dangerous. He is described as a 5’6” tall black male weighing approximately 150 lbs. He has multiple tattoos, including some on his hands and arms. He may have altered his appearance in an effort to avoid arrest.

Pompey is known to frequent the area of Cone Boulevard-Trent Street-Utah Place. He may also visit the Depot.
