"On July 8, 2014 at 12:10 a.m. Greensboro Police Officers responded to 2307 Columbus Street in reference to an assault. The victim was cut in the face with a machete after attempting to intervene in an argument between two subjects over a monetary debt. The suspect fled before police arrived. The victim was transported to Moses Cone Hospital with non-life threatening injuries in which he received stitches. The preliminary investigation seems to indicate that the incident may be drug related. The investigation is continuing.
