"Officers with the Winston Salem Police Department responded
to a reported stabbing at 4019 Reynolda Rd (Wilco Hess parking lot). Preliminary investigation revealed that a
physical altercation occurred between two black males who are believed to be
acquaintances.
During the altercation, one of the males was
stabbed in the upper torso. Both individuals
were transported to a local medical facility.
One male was treated for a non-life threating laceration and released. The other male is being treated for a stab
wound to his upper torso and his injury is described as serious.
Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division
responded to the scene and assumed the investigation which is on-going. The cause of the altercation and identity of
the males are currently unconfirmed. The
Winston-Salem Police Department is not searching for any other person at this
time.
