Arrest Made in Double Homicide on Hewitt Street: 21-year-old charged

"A 21-year-old Greensboro man was taken into custody last night and now faces multiple felonies in connection with fatally shooting two people and wounding two others on Sept. 2.
Elijah Dominique Jordan of 1102 Eagle Road was arrested without incident by members of the Greensboro Police Violent Criminal Apprehension Team with assistance from the NC State Bureau of Investigation Fugitive and Missing Person Task Force at approximately 11:15 pm in the parking lot of the Walmart at 3738 Battleground Avenue.
Jordan faces two counts of First Degree Murder for the deaths of Marquise Deswan Alexander, 27, and Daquis Eugene Williams, 18, both of Greensboro. He also faces two counts of Attempted First Degree Murder for shooting Kelvin Demetrius Williams, 24, and Tirrod Derell Marsh, 27, also of Greensboro.
Greensboro police responded to The Arbors apartment complex at 4023 Hewitt Street at approximately 4:31pm on Sept. 2 after GM 911 received calls of a shooting and scene found the four victims in the parking lot. Alexander and Daquis Williams were transported to a local hospital where they later died. Marsh and Kelvin Williams were treated for their injuries and remain in stable condition.
Further investigation revealed that Jordan, a validated gang member, got into an argument with one of the victims, which led to Jordan then shooting the man and the other three victims that were with him.
Although several of the victims have known gang affiliation, the shooting does not appear to be connected to inter-gang rivalry – but rather the escalation of the argument between Jordan and the victims.

Jordan is held at the Guilford County Detention Center without bond."
