"Winston-Salem Police Officers responded to a reported stabbing at 431 E Sixteenth
St. Investigation revealed that the
victim, Ms. Shirley Starner, 18, female, was involved in a relationship with former boyfriend of the
arrestee, Latricia Denee Wilson, 22, female.
Reports say, Wilson, of 1452 Woodland Ave. came to the residence to confront the victim about her relationship, and the
confrontation led to her stabbing Starner several times in the
lower abdomen and back area. Wilson then fled the scene on foot. Officers located the arrestee a short
distance away, and were also able to locate the knife used in the incident.
Starner was transported to Baptist Hospital where her
injuries were determined to be non-life threatening. She was admitted to the hospital for further
treatment.
Wilson was charged with Assault With a Deadly Weapon
Inflicting Serious Injury, and given a preliminary hearing date of
12/18/2014. She is incarcerated under a
$5,000 secured bond. "
