"Ambleside Gallery, located at 528 South Elm St., Greensboro, is privileged to host the American Watercolor Society annual traveling exhibition from March 13-April 24, 2015.
The American Watercolor Society (AWS), a nonprofit membership organization, was established in 1866 to promote the art of watercolor painting in America.
Each year the Society holds a juried exhibition of watercolors by artists from throughout the world at the society’s headquarters in New York City. It is widely recognized as the most prestigious annual watercolor event in the country. Upon completion of its New York show the exhibition travels around the country to be hosted by select museums and art galleries. This will be the first time in the society’s 149 year history that the show has come to Greensboro."
