Vote for Wake Forest Innovation Quarter as Great Place

"City leaders are encouraging all citizens to show their community spirit by supporting the Wake Forest Innovation Quarter’s nomination for a 2015 Great Places in North Carolina award.
Innovation Quarter is a finalist for a People’s Choice Award in the category of Great Historic Rehabilitation. The awards are sponsored by the North Carolina Chapter of the American Planning Association.
Voting is tallied online and is open to the public through 5 p.m. Feb. 27. A link to the voting page is posted at CityofWS.org.

Wake Forest Innovation Quarter has become home to several thousand people engaged in scientific research, product development, advanced education and workforce development. This reinvention of four former tobacco factories in a National Register Historic District by developer Wexford Science & Technology is using historic tax credits to leverage nearly $350 million in investment and transform one million square feet of empty buildings into a work-live-learn-play environment."
