ArtsGreensboro Now Accepting Nominations for 2015 Arts in Business Award

"ArtsGreensboro, in partnership with the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce, Guilford Merchants Association, and the North Carolina Entrepreneurship Center at UNC-G, is accepting nominations for the Arts in Business Award. This annual award recognizes a Greensboro small business for its leadership and commitment to the arts and its impact on the arts over the past year, as measured by activities, project(s), or events in support of any aspect of the arts.

To be eligible, a nominee must be a small Greensboro business with 100 or fewer employees. Foundations, individual philanthropists, government agencies, and arts organizations are not eligible.

Last year's award recognized Just Be for its support of over 60 local artists and its sponsorship of various arts projects, such as the Dirty Fingernails show at the Center for Visual Arts and the Female Artist Takeover, an event that highlighted the work of 6 local female artists.

This year's recipient will be honored at the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce's Small Business Awards Evening Event on Tuesday, May 12.

Nominations for the 2015 Arts in Business Award are due to ArtsGreensboro no later than 5 pm on Friday, April 3. Organizations are encouraged to nominate their own business or another that fulfills the criteria. Nomination forms are available at www.artsgreensboro.org.
