Roads near the Greenhill Municipal Cemetery and Fisher Park Affected by the Race the Bar Pig Pounder 5K

"GREENSBORO, NC (May 14, 2015) – “Race the Bar Pig Pounder 5K” on Sunday, May 24^th will affect traffic near the Greenhill Municipal Cemetery and Fisher Park area from 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Motorists can expect permanent closures along the route (see map) from

4:00 p.m. -5:30 p.m.  Specifically, vehicular traffic will be prohibited on:

·         Grecade St. between W. Bessemer Ave and Battleground Ave. (3:30 p.m. -5:30p.m.)

·         Hill St. between W. Bessemer Ave. and Battleground Ave. (3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.)

·         Elm St. between E. Bessemer Ave. and Fisher Ave. (4:00 p.m. -5:00 p.m.)

·         Other streets along the race route will experience intermittent traffic restrictions as runners pass through the area

Motorists are reminded that pedestrians have the right of way, and are asked to use caution where participants are present."
