"The two people shot outside Jake’s Diner on 2206 S. Holden Rd. this morning have been identified as Phillip Rayshawn Wilkerson, 27, and Dexter Lavoy Pittman, 24.
Greensboro police officers responded to the parking lot of the 24-hour diner at approximately 4:07 am today, May 22, after Guilford Metro 911 received a call that someone had been shot.
Officers found that Wilkerson (address cannot be verified) had been shot multiple times in his midsection. Pittman, of 1510 Textile Drive, had been shot in the abdomen and right arm.
Wilkerson was transported by EMS to Moses Cone for treatment. Originally listed in critical condition, his status has been upgraded to stable.
Pittman was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle. He remains in stable condition.
A motive for the shooting is unknown.
