Two in Custody for Shooting in Tattoo Parlor

"GREENSBORO, NC (Sept. 3, 2015) – Two Greensboro men have been arrested in connection with last night’s attempted robbery at a tattoo parlor that left an employee with three gunshot wounds.

John Lewis McCain, Jr., 29, was working at the BlahZeaBlah Tattoo Parlor at 2101 G E. Market St. when Michael Tyrone Watkins, 29, and Ryan Pierre Brown, 26, entered the business and demanded money from him. After stating he had no money, Brown allegedly fired a weapon multiple times at McCain.

McCain ran to a nearby business for help and called police at approximately 9 pm. McCain was briefly interviewed by police and transported to a local hospital where he continues to receive treatment for non-life threatening wounds.


Brown and Watkins were arrested at approximately 6:20 am today at Watkins’ residence, 111 Shaw St. Both are charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and Conspiracy. Brown, of 2407 King Arthur Dr., faces an additional charge of Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury."
