Signature Chefs Auction Brings Greensboro’s Top Restaurants Together for Babies

"The Greensboro Signature Chefs Auction will be held today - Thurs., Oct. 8 starting at 6 p.m. at the Empire Room in downtown Greensboro. Event guests will sample delectable dishes from premier area chefs while bidding on unique and tempting auction packages; some of which will even feature the talents of the incredible signature chefs. The evening of giving benefits the March of Dimes, dedicated to bringing healthy babies to families everywhere.

Major sponsors for the event include, Clapp Foundation, Haeco Americas, United HealthCare and CenterPointe.   

Restaurants showcased at event: B. Christopher’s, Gia, Giovanni’s Italian Restaurant, LaRue, Mark’s Restaurant, Painted Plate, Sedgefield Country Club- A McConnell Golf Property, Southern Lights Bistro, Starmount Country Club and Undercurrent.

Premature birth is the most serious infant health problem in the United States today. It affects more than half a million babies nationwide each year. Babies born too soon are more likely to die or have lifelong disabilities. The March of Dimes is committed to reversing this trend by funding research to find the causes of premature birth and developing prevention strategies.
