One of pair arrested in armed robbery of La Lupitia in Winston-Salem.



"Officers with the Winston-Salem Police Department responded Nov. 6 at 7pm to La Luptia, located at 432 Haled St., Winston Salem on report of an Armed Robbery. 

Suspect #1 - Described as a black male, 20 years old, wearing a gray long sleeve shirt, blk leather jacket, blue jeans, was carrying a handgun. Reports state he entered the business and requested cigarettes.
When the clerk, Martha Dominguez, 21, female, turned to hand the suspect the item, he was pointing a handgun at her and demanded money.

Suspect #2 - Described as having a dark complexion, wearing a blue/gray North Face jacket, blue jeans, white tennis shoes also had a handgun. Reports state he acted as a lookout at the front door. 

The suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of money.  They were seen leaving in a dark colored passenger vehicle with a cracked windshield. 


Ms. Dominguez was not injured during this incident.

Attached are photographs taken from surveillance footage at the business.  Investigators ask that the viewing public note the unique appearance of the suspect vehicle, to include a large broken portion of the front windshield. 

Update:  Tues., Nov. 10, 2015

Detectives identified Karriem Davis as being one of the two suspects involved in the armed robbery of La Luptia on 11/06/2015.  Karriem Davis, 23, 16-D Timlic Ave., in Winston-Salem, was taken into custody today without incident and placed into the Forsyth County Jail with a $150,000.00 bond charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon. His first court date is set for 12/03/2015.  Due to this being an ongoing investigation no booking photo is being released at this time.
