"Can’t make it to New York to see a Broadway show? Fear not! This spring, High Point Ballet brings the best parts of the Great White Way to you with On Broadway. Professional dancers from across the southeast and pre-professional dancers from right here in High Point combine to delight dance-lovers throughout the Triad with excerpts from popular musicals, varying widely in style, era, and subject matter. Audiences can enjoy award-winning artistic director Gary Taylor’s wide-ranging choreography, from classical ballet of An American in Paris, the tight intensity of Fosse, and the throwback jazziness of 42nd Street, among many others. With both the full-ensemble dance numbers that have long been synonymous with the Broadway experience and the quiet intensity of the ingĂ©nue’s pax de deux with her the leading man, there’s something for everyone On Broadway.

High Point Ballet’s On Broadway will run for one performance only, Wednesday, April 6 at 7:30PM at the High Point Theatre, 220 E Commerce Ave, High Point. Tickets run $30 for adults and $20 for students and seniors. Purchase in person through the high Point Theatre Box Office by calling (336) 887-3001 from Noon-5:00PM, Monday through Friday and one hour before performances. Purchase online by visiting www.highpointballet.org.
