"GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Greensboro College will host a pottery course for visually-impaired people, "Visions in Clay," beginning Wednesday, April 13.

The course runs 10 a.m.-noon Wednesdays through May 18 in the ceramics room in Cowan Humanities Building on campus.
"Clay is a tactile medium and allows students to see with their hands," says Hitchcock, who operates the Clay Bakery Studio in her Greensboro home and is offering the course along with Greensboro College's Department of Art.
The class will begin with simple hand building techniques before moving on to the potter's wheel and then to glazing the works.
"Creative expression is inherently therapeutic," Hitchcock says.
