Willow Walk: Sculpture in the Park in Alamance County

"Alamance Arts, together with the City of Burlington Recreation and Parks Department, invite you to attend the eighth biennial Willow Walk: Sculpture in the Park, an outdoor sculpture exhibition and sale. Willow Walk will take place from 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday, June 4 and noon to 6 on Sunday, June 5 at Burlington’s beautiful Willowbrook Park.
The park is located in a lovely residential area in Burlington, N.C., one block off Church Street—Burlington’s primary north-south thoroughfare. Willowbrook Park’s grassy meadow and tree-covered slopes make for a perfect outdoor exhibit space. This is a highly anticipated, one-of-a-kind event in Alamance County. It presents an exclusive chance to discover garden and yard art on display in their own natural settings.
This years’ Willow Walk will feature more than 35 artists and over 100 works of art for visitors to view as they walk through the park. Willow Walk will represent artists whose work is well respected for originality, creativity, and quality of workmanship and design.
With this exhibit, we strive to increase public awareness and appreciation of sculpture by inviting patrons and visitors to discover and explore the arts in a natural, comfortable, and fun setting. Complete with food, music, and other entertainment, Willow Walk is something you don’t want to miss!  Visitors are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to stay all day, if they like.

A cocktail event, Sunset at Willow Walk, will also be held on June 4th from 6:30-9:30 pm, concluding the first day of the Willow Walk exhibit. This event is a unique opportunity to experience the arts in a social, outdoor setting. Gipsy Danger will provide the music and hors d’oeuvres will be provided by Southern Comfort Catering. Tickets are $35 per person and may be purchased by contacting Alamance Arts at 336-226-4495."
