FIRST FRIDAY ON THE BLOCK PROGRAMMING CONTINUING JULY 1

"GREENSBORO, N.C. (June 27, 2016) The third in the First Friday On The Block series will continue on July 1 from 6-9pm. McGee St from Elm St to Greene St. will be closed to traffic to make room for pop up music, interactive arts programming, food trucks, beer and wine.
Pedestrians will have full access to the area to enjoy programming coordinated synerG young Professionals, Downtown Greensboro, Inc. and ArtsGreensboro.

What’s Happening? The sponsor organizations are collaborating with Scrapmettle for street theater performances from 6-7pm during First Friday; the Greensboro Mural Project will have interactive murals for kids young and old to paint; Just Be & Iris West Jewelers will be their unique goods on the street; DJ L N Japanese will be playing music for the crowd to enjoy; the Weatherspoon Art Museum is bringing out Spoonboy for selfies; there will be free cornhole and more. And of course, many of the Downtown businesses will be open late during the event!

Getting hungry and thirsty?  In the pedestrian area, we will have brews served by Gibbs Hundred, Natty Greene’s and Preyer Brewing and wine from Childress Vineyards. Food trucks for the event include King Queen Haitian Cuisine, Porter House Burgers and Kona Ice. You can also check out any of the great downtown restaurants, bars and breweries!
