"GREENSBORO, NC — On Thursday, July 28th
between 5-8pm, the grounds of Blandwood Mansion and Carriage House, 447 West
Washington Street in downtown Greensboro, will host their annual showcase of bridal
vendors that will make your upcoming nuptials unique, creative and HISTORIC! Make our history, your history!
Entry to this event on the National
Historic Landmark site of Governor John Motley Morehead’s home Blandwood is
FREE and open to the public. Blandwood
parking is located at the corner of Blandwood Avenue and West McGee Street. On-street parking is also available.
The latest wedding trend is having these
celebratory events associated with places of history following the romantic lines
of recent historic movies and television dramas. Couples, their wedding party, families and
friends are invited to visit our historical downtown landmark during the
evening to experience the exceptional local bridal vendors’ wares and items
that can make their upcoming events unique, personal and tailored to their
dream day! The show offers caterers’
sampling, mock-tails, giveaways and drawings for items the prospective couple
may want. Gift bags to participants will
be given to the first 50 guests!
Blandwood Carriage House Manager Amanda
Garner encourages, “Come check out the amazing vendors at Blandwood and
see how we can make your upcoming event personal and unique. We are excited to continue to host our
many wedding vendor shows specializing in showcasing our local vendors and
highlighting the Blandwood Carriage House.”
Preservation Greensboro Executive
Director Benjamin Briggs comments, “The Carriage House at Blandwood is the only
special events space in Guilford County that enjoys National Historic Landmark
designation. The nearby mansion and
gardens provide a one-of-a-kind backdrop for receptions and meetings and it is
all in the heart of downtown Greensboro!”
