"Petty, Proehl, Rivera to Attend Golf Classic"

"(Greensboro, NC) – NASCAR legend Richard Petty, Carolina Panthers Head Coach Ron Rivera, and a host of other celebrities will participate in Ricky Proehl's Celebrity Golf Classic next month.

Petty and other notables will attend the Pairings Party at the Proximity Hotel on Thursday evening, June 4th, while Rivera and dozens of Panthers players and coaches will hit the links on Friday, June 5th.  The Celebrity Golf Classic raises money to support Proehl's P.O.W.E.R. of Play Foundation. The Foundation works with groups like Guilford County’s social services, the Children’s Home Society and local churches to reach at-risk children in our community. “We know that mentoring children keeps them away from drugs and alcohol and keeps them out of trouble. It is our honor to be able to touch the lives of children and have the opportunity to let them know that we care. We hope that love gives them the courage to dream big and reach their full potential”, says Proehl. “The core value of our program is Play, Opportunity, Work, Excellence and Respect.”

This year's Celebrity Golf Classic will be held at Greensboro Country Club’s Farm course. Hutchinson Family Office, a full service wealth management firm, is the presenting sponsor of the event. "We've been so touched by the work Ricky has done with young people over the past few years, that we wanted to be involved in this special fund raising event," said Steve Hutchinson, founder and CEO.

Harris Teeter Unveils Carolina Panthers Josh Norman’s “The Lockdown” Signature Sub Sandwich

"Carolina Panthers cornerback Josh Norman will team up with Harris Teeter to debut his personally designed Signature Sub Sandwich.        Norman’s sandwich “The Lockdown” is a must-try for Harris Teeter shoppers. For only $3.99, fans can satisfy their appetite with the “The Lockdown” which features Virginia ham, pepperoni and grilled chicken topped with yellow American cheese, Swiss cheese and light honey mustard on a white sub roll. Shoppers can make it a lunch pack for only $4.99. Give back and get a chance at a pair of Carolina Panthers season tickets. For the second year in a row, United Way of Greater Greensboro is raffling off of a pair of Carolina Panthers season tickets. All proceeds benefit United Way of Greater Greensboro.

The lucky winner will enjoy two club-level seats on the 50-yard-line to all 2014 regular season Carolina Panthers home games, including preseason and parking.
