Mother reports son missing, silver alert issued

Mr. Jamaal Phillip Dawson

"Winston Salem Police Officers responded on a reported Missing Person.  It was reported that Mr. Jamaal Phillip Dawson hasn’t been seen by his mother for approximately 2-3 months

Dawson is homeless and was last seen by his mother in Feb. 2015 at her residence located at 4840 Stonewall St.  Dawson suffers from Schizophrenia and other medical issues.  He was last seen wearing black sweatpants and red, white, and black athletic shoes.  He is approximately 5’11” in height, weighs 125lbs and possibly still has a mustache and a short beard.  He has black hair and brown eyes. 

Officers have checked the local homeless shelters and hospitals but have not yet located Dawson.

The Winston Salem Police Department is seeking the media and the public’s help in locating Dawson who has been previously known to be walk around in the area of North Patterson Ave. and Northwest Blvd.

Anyone with information concerning the location of Dawson is requested to immediately contact the Winston Salem Police Department at 773-7700.

Dawson has been entered into NCIC/DCI and a Silver Alert has been issued.

      "The Greensboro/Guilford Crime Stoppers Program is holding its 22^nd Annual Golf Tournament on October 13^th, and invites pros and putters alike to join like-minded links men at Forest Oaks Country Club for 18 holes.

            The Captain’s Choice format offers a shotgun start at 9 am. The cost is $100 per person. Teams of four can sign up for $400, or $500 with course signage for sponsorship. The price includes greens fees, cart, breakfast biscuits, cold beverages, pulled pork barbecue lunch, a chance to win a Harley Davidson with a hole in one, and door prizes!

     The Tournament is the primary fundraiser for Crime Stoppers, a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization that brings together the community, law enforcement and the media to solve crime. Law enforcement liaisons advertise, via the media, unsolved crimes or wanted persons providing confidentiality and anonymity to the callers. The callers are rewarded with a cash reward of UP TO $2,000 if the tip they provide leads to an arrest or indictment. Can You Identify? Greensboro Police Need Your Help

"On June 2, 2014 at approximately 4:30 am the individual pictured above entered the Great Stops convenience store located at 5412 W Market St and robbed the store of a disclosed amount of cash.  The suspect is described as an 18-20 year old black male who was wearing a “V for Vendetta” type mask.  The suspect fled the area on foot headed east from Great Stops.
