Sanctuary House partners with Well-Spring in Tree Decorating Contest, Opening Reception Tonight

"Sanctuary House has partnered with Well-Spring Retirement Community and has entered their Non-Profit Tree Decorating Contest. The contest kicks-off tonight, December 2nd, at Well-Spring Retirement Community with a fireworks show at 5:30pm and an Opening Reception from 6:00-8:00 pm, all events are open to the public.

Sanctuary House members, staff, and volunteers have decorated a themed “JOY, LOVE & PEACE” tree at Well-Spring and the public is encouraged to stop in and vote for their favorite tree from December 2nd – December 16th, during normal business hours. Each person is allowed 3 votes. The non-profit with the most votes will be awarded a $2,500.00 charitable donation on December 18th from Well-Spring Retirement Community. Of the remaining non-profits that participated, 12 organizations will receive a ‘runner-up’ charitable donation of $500.00.

Sanctuary House is a 501c3 non-profit day program for adults with mental illness in downtown Greensboro. The mission of Sanctuary House is to facilitate the recovery and rehabilitation of adults with serious mental illness so that they may achieve and sustain satisfying, meaningful roles and lives in our community.

Sanctuary House partners with Stonefield Cellars Winery and holds ‘BBQ & BOOGIE in the Vineyard’ fundraiser on October 11th, 2014

"On Oct. 11, Sanctuary House is hosting the ‘BBQ & BOOGIE in the Vineyard’ fundraiser event held at Stonefield Cellars Winery in Stokesdale, NC.

At the BBQ & BOOGIE in the Vineyard, Sanctuary House will celebrate fall with the community and will raise funds to support programming at Sanctuary House. This event is open to the public and will offer LIVE music by the Caribbean Cowboys Band, a delicious and professionally catered BBQ dinner with chicken & pork BBQ with all the fixings, a 50/50 cash raffle, lawn games and a cash bar.

Sanctuary House has partnered with Stonefield Cellars Winery for this event, and it will be held from 5:00pm-10pm at Stonefield Cellars Winery in Stokesdale, NC. All proceeds from ticket sales, sponsorships and donations to this event, including 25% of the evening’s winery beverage sales, will benefit Sanctuary House.

Sanctuary House opened in Greensboro in April 2002 and has expanded to deliver services to 75+ individuals a day. Sanctuary House services include Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Employment Support, Outpatient Therapy Services and they operate A Sweet Success! Bakery.  The mission of Sanctuary House is to facilitate the recovery of adults with severe mental illness in Guilford County achieve and sustain meaningful roles and lives in our community.
Sanctuary House has served the community for over a decade and are grateful for every contribution of time, money and support given over the past decade to support the vision and mission.

Sanctuary House, The Green Bean, and A Sweet Success! Bakery… Partners to raise awareness for Mental Health
































Greensboro, NC – May is Mental Health Awareness Month and on May 21st, Sanctuary House partnered with The Green Bean and A Sweet Success! Bakery to help to raise awareness for mental health by wearing green.

Community members and patrons to The Green Bean were asked to WEAR GREEN on MAY 21st to raise awareness for Mental Health.

Sanctuary House also continued to raise awareness throughout the day by asking supporters to create a ‘Social Media Buzz’ by wearing green all day and snapping a photo and posting on social media networks using #sanctuaryhouse and #greenbean. The response was great and successful in reaching more people and raising awareness for Mental Health.
