Correction
In the Aug. 11 story entitled, "UNC-TV blocks distribution of 'NC Now' episodes and documentary about Alcoa's operations on the Yadkin," YES! Weekly mistakenly reported that UNC-TV senior legislative correspondent Eszter Vajda had compiled more than 200 hours of video footage while investigating a story on Alcoa's operations on the Yadkin River. Last week, Vajda corrected her original statement that she had shot more than 200 hours of footage on the Alcoa story. Vajda said she meant to say she had conducted more than 200 hours of research and interviews for her reports, which aired on UNC-TV's "North Carolina Now" show last month. In fact, Vajda handed over 13 disks of footage to UNC-TV, which contained just over 14 hours of footage.
