Institute for Dismantling Racism to host one day training

The Institute for Dismantling Racism, Inc. in Winston-Salem will hold a one day anti-racism workshop on Thursday, April 7. Entitled "RE-framing the Conversation: an Intro to Understanding and Analyzing Systemic Racism," the workshop will last from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. at Peace Haven Baptist Church at 3384 York Road in Winston-Salem.

The organization normally offers a 2 1/2 day training throughout the year but created a one day introductory event after feedback from community members who found it difficult to take that much time off of work.

The workshop costs $100 per person and includes breakfast, lunch, refreshments and materials. There are a limited number of scholarship discounts available. For more information contact program manager Lauranita Katende at 336-722-8379 x104.
