The City of Greensboro just announced that Brigitte Branton, right, has been named as the city's library director. Branton served as the interim director for the last year after Sandy Neerman was promoted to assistant city manager. Branton worked as an assistant director beginning in 1999 and for Greensboro's library system since 1988.
"There's no better person to officially take over the leadership role of our library system than Brigitte," City Manager Denise Turner Roth said in a press release.
Branton has a graduate degree in library and information studies from UNC Greensboro.
