"Greensboro, NC (July 3, 2014) -- At 2:34 a.m. on 7.3.2014—Police responded to S. Mendenhall Street at Rankin Place in reference to an attempted robbery from person. Forty-year old Aaron Coker was walking in the area when an older model silver sedan stopped in the street and the two occupants exited the vehicle and the passenger pointed a handgun and demanded the victim’s phone. The victim immediately fled on foot and hid behind a nearby house until he was sure the suspects had left the area.
The only suspect information was that the passenger with the handgun was a black-male wearing a red and black tank top. No property was taken and no injuries were reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
Southern Division Patrol Officers and Central Division Patrol Officers responded to this incident."
