Kick Off of Arts Splash Concert Series planned in High Point


"Arts Splash kicks off on Sunday, July 13, at 6:00 p.m. with Special Occasion Band playing your favorite beach tunes! For over 20 years Special Occasion Band has been entertaining young and old all over the Carolinas. This FREE concert will be held in downtown High Point at the Mendenhall Transportation Terminal, 220 E. Commerce Street, in front of the High Point Theatre.

Concert-goers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and picnic dinners. No alcoholic beverages are permitted at any of the concert locations. If there is a threat of rain, call 336.889.ARTS after 4:00 p.m. Sunday to get the latest update on the event.

Arts Splash is presented by the High Point Arts Council in partnership with High Point Parks & Recreation and its many sponsors. The Arts Splash concerts are splashed all over town in different locations ensuring that the arts are accessible to everyone in our community. The remaining concerts are:

"Free" is a relative term indeed, when our highest cost in the state taxes and fee/utilities are paying for it all.
Lots of money spent here as our costs simultaneously go up.
Shell game, in High Cost Point, is the ongoing "entertainment" that we get.
