"GREENSBORO, NC (July 17, 2014) – A 41-year-old Greensboro man is currently confined on multiple charges stemming associated with thefts from local car washes.
James Anthony Kendricks of 2105 Carpenter Street was arrested by detectives from the Greensboro Police Department’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team on Monday, July 14th for his alleged involvement in stealing coin operated devices from automatic car washes.
Since March of this year, the city has experienced more than 15 instances of change machines being broken into or cut out of the walls so that the money could be removed.
Kendricks has been connected to larcenies at Classic Car Wash at 2901 North Church Street on March 22, University Car Wash at 812 S. Aycock Street on June 5, and the Rainbow Carwash at 2606 Battleground Avenue on June 23 and June 28.
Among other offenses, Kendricks is charged with: Felony Breaking and Entering, Larceny After Breaking and Entering, two counts of Breaking a Coin/Currency Machine, two counts of Possession of Burglary Tools, and Possession of Stolen Property.
Kendricks is currently confined in Greensboro Jail Central on multiple secure bonds."
