Man shot, killed in Winston-Salem

"Officers with the Winston Salem Police Department responded to a reported shooting in the 3000 block of Broadbay Drive.  Upon arrival, officers located a Hispanic male, Roberto Bustos/39/M unresponsive and lying in front of 3011 Apartment B, Broadbay Dr.  Personnel with Emergency Medical Services responded and pronounced the male deceased.

Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.  The investigation revealed that the victim suffered from multiple apparent gunshot wounds.  The shooting appears to be the result of a verbal conflict.  The victim was identified as Roberto Bustos, who resided at 3015 Broadbay Drive in Winston-Salem.  Next of kin has been notified. 

This is an on-going investigation.

This is the 7^th homicide to occur in 2014, as compared to 2 homicides for the same period of time in 2013."
