Ultimate Comic Challenge to Showcase Local Comedians for Seventh Year in a Row

Local Comedy Club, The Idiot Box will begin its seventh annual Ultimate Comic Challenge at the end of this month. This contest offers local comedians the chance at over 1000 dollars in prize money, and a chance to perform at the 1,200 seat historic Carolina Theater.

This contest has grown in popularity, and club owner, Steve Lesser, expects this to be the biggest one yet.

The contest features over 60 comedians in four rounds of elimination in what is considered by many to be North Carolina’s biggest and best comedy contest.

The Ultimate Comic Challenge - NC's biggest and best stand up comedy competition.  Come support your favorite comedian and see who takes the title wins the $1000 prize.  UCC shows are Fridays 9/19 through 10/24.  The Finals will be held at the Carolina Theatre on 11/7.
