The Center for Visual Artists’ (CVA) Interactive Film Factory Premiere at Geeksboro

"Greensboro, North Carolina – The Center for Visual Artists is partnering with Geeksboro to premiere the film “Fool’s Mate”, a short film created by the CVA’s film class, the Interactive Film Factory. The film is a tale of two detectives, one much more clever than the other, attempting to track down an art thief, who has stolen a painting from a local art gallery.

The Interactive Film Factory is a 12-week film production class for teen and young adults who work as a team to produce a single film from start to finish.  Participants have worked together beginning with an introduction of the basics like the anatomy of the camera, fundamentals of cinematography, sound acquisition, lighting and concept development, and advancement to shooting and editing a final film.

The film premieres Tuesday, May 26th at 7pm with daily shows from May 30th – June 4th at 2pm.  Geeksboro is located at 2134 Lawndale Drive in Greensboro.
All shows are “pay what you can” and 100 percent of the proceeds will support the Center for Visual Artists Scholarship Fund.

Scholarships for the 2015-2016 year have been made possible by the generous support of the VF Foundation, Just Be, and individual donors.  Each year, the CVA gives scholarships to children and adults in financial need.  Learn more about how you can support our Scholarship Program or apply for a scholarship on our website at www.greensboroart.org."
