Build-Your-Own Pizza Restaurant to Offer
Free Pizza on Grand Opening Day May 23

"(ATLANTA) May 2015 – Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint will open its first location in High Point N.C., on Friday, May 22, 2015.  In celebration of the grand opening May 23, the restaurant will serve free 9-inch, build-your-own, three-topping pizzas to guests in line from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.  The restaurant is located in the High Point Palladium Shopping Center at 4112-101 Brian Jordan Place off of Wendover Avenue.
In addition to free pizza on Saturday, the restaurant has celebrations planned for the weekend.  There will be activities for children and a live band, Stained Glass Canoe, from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2015 and the restaurant will feature beer from local Red Oak Brewery .  On Sunday, May 24, children will eat free from 3-5 p.m.  Finally, the High Point Chamber of Commerce will help officially welcome Uncle Maddio’s to the community with a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, May 27 at 2 p.m. prior to the Chamber board meeting.

Uncle Maddio’s is famous for its customized artisan pizzas, salads and sandwiches.  Guests can choose their own pizza toppings or select a chef-inspired signature pizza, which includes options like the Steak & Blue, Southwest Baja, or Spicy Italian pizza.  Restaurant visitors interact with their pizza maker and watch their pizzas made right before their eyes.  Pizzas are baked in about six minutes and cost only $7.99 for any three-topping pizza.

High Point, N.C., franchisee Bronce McClain has worked in the restaurant industry for more than 25 years with 23 of those years spent with one of the largest Pizza Hut franchises.  He started working for Pizza Hut when he was 17-years-old and helped open the first Pizza Hut in New Jersey almost 40 years ago.  McClain went on to work for the restaurant franchise in Maine, Illinois, Delaware and Winston-Salem, N.C., where he now lives and will soon open a second Uncle Maddio’s location, along with a third restaurant in Greensboro, N.C.
