Twin City RibFest Begins New Decade of Hot Ribs, Cool Music

"On June 11-14 the Twin City RibFest http://twincityribfest.com will once again herald the coming of summer in Winston-Salem.The downtown event will feature nine national BBQ teams including three new ones, Jack on the Bone (Ohio), Sin City BBQ (Florida) and The Texas Smokehouse, from where else, Texas. Allen McDavid the producer of the Texas Pete Twin City RibFest is excited about the music line-up as well, “We have Artimus Pyle, Lynard Skynard's longtime drummer, The British Invasion Experience and New York City's best bluesman, Blind Boy Paxton.”

In his ongoing effort to expand the RibFest and also appeal to a broader audience, McDavid is once again bringing in the Squidling Brothers Side Show, Lucha Libre Wrestling and the Shady Ladies' Saloon. The RibFest will also have a singer/songwriter stage, karaoke, a marketplace and Kids Zone.
The cost of admission is $7 for adults, kids $1 except for Thursday and Friday between 11 AM and 5 PM when everyone gets in for $1. Thursday evening also has a special deal, when admission for adults is just $4.
