Wheels4Hope to Hold 2nd Annual Memorial Day Bicycle Ride Registration Available Online

"GREENSBORO, NC April 3, 2015 – This May 25th, on Memorial Day, Wheels4Hope, a non-profit car donation organization, will place cars with veterans who need them at the 2nd Annual Memorial Day Bike Ride.  The biking event will begin at Westminster Presbyterian Church at 4747 Lake Brandt Road in Greensboro, N.C.

The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a car blessing as the veterans receive the keys for the vehicles. Then, cyclists will roll out at 9 a.m. for a fun jaunt into the countryside north of Greensboro.

Riders may choose from various lengths for their rides including 6, 13, 34 and 64 mile bike rides. All riders will receive goody bags, SAG support stops, and, of course, tasty snacks at the rest stops.  A catered lunch will be provided by East Coast Wings & Grill and live music performed by The Tyler Millard Band.

“Last year we had a wonderful turnout. We are expecting a record number of riders this year with the delicious addition of a fun- filled festive atmosphere and lunch from East Coast Wings,” says Tawanna Jones, Wheels4hope Program Manager. “This is our largest fundraising event of the year and proceeds will support our mission of providing affordable, reliable transportation to low wage-earning individuals referred to us by one of our partner agencies.”

Registration is now available at Wheels4hope.org/Bikeride. Cost is $25 for adults and $10 for children 14 and under.  Prices increase on the day of the ride.

Wheels4Hope Memorial Day Bike Ride is sponsored by East Coast Wings & Grill, Cycles De Oro, Westminster Presbyterian, O Graphic Studio, Blue Rhino, Great Harvest Bread Company, City of Greensboro and Lowes Foods
