5th Annual Toy Ride/Blue Christmas benefitting His Laboring Few Ministries to occur Dec. 5

"Greensboro, NC, November 30, 2015: The 5^th Annual His Laboring Few Ministries Toy Ride and Dorrie’s December Dream/Blue Christmas will be hosted at Mac’s Speed Shop located at  1218 Battleground Ave, Greensboro, NC 27408.

A motorcycle ride will begin at Mac’s Speed Shop on Sat.on Dec. 5. Riders will leave at 1:00 pm headed to His Laboring Few Ministries’ Store House located at 812 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Thomasville, NC 27360. Live bands and free food for everyone………..especially riders will be offered at the His Laboring Few location.

Later that night beginning at 6:00pm Mac’s Speed Shop will host Dorrie’s December Dream / Blue Christmas. The ride portion will feature a Guilford County Sheriff’s escort.

Dorrie’s December Dream / Blue Christmas is sponsored by The Piedmont Blues Preservation Society and will feature the Landon Spradlin Blues Band.

At both events toys will be collected for His Laboring Few Ministries which will go to needy families in the Triad area. “Over 300 families have already called in requesting help. We’ve had to stop taking names yet with a good turnout at these events we can add considerably more families” said Robin St. John who is coordinating the event at His Laboring few Ministries.

The collected toys will be distributed by His Laboring few Ministries on Monday December 21^st to the parents of the needing families. These parents may then place the toys under their individual home’s Christmas tree so that children may awake Christmas morning and discover that Santa does come after all.

Cash and checks may be given in place of toys. These funds will be used to purchase additional toys. Please make checks payable to His Laboring Few Ministries a registered 501(c)3 non profit."

                                                     

His Laboring Few Minstries is a 23 year old non-profit outreach based in Thomasville, NC. Address: 812 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Thomasville, NC 27360  They also operate “The Harvest Camp” a free 120 day drug and alcohol rehabiltation program located at 1346 Wischum Way, Trinity, NC 27370.

The Piedmont Blues Prservation Society is a 30 year old non-profit all volunteer entity based in Greensboro, NC located at P.O. Box 9737. Greensboro, NC 27429 . Helping preserve and promote the culture along with the rich heritage of Blues music to all people is one of their primary missions. They will host their 30^th annual Carolina Blues Festival at Barber Park in Greensboro, NC on May 21, 2016.
