A Celebration of African American music, visual art, fashion, & culinary arts June 16

"Winston-Salem, NC - Live Free Magazine an arts and culture publication celebrates African American arts and culture. We invite you out to taste, and hear, the sights and sounds of our culture in our “Release event“.  The past three month’s issues come to life June 16 at Specialty Park 515 Specialty park blvd Winston- Salem, NC.

Celebrity guest:
Chef Mu from Food Network’s “Chopped” will be on hand cooking specialty samples for guest to try! Chef Mu will grace our July cover. Joe Dudley from Dudley products will be there to inspire entrepreneurs as he was on the cover of June’s issue. Lyz Scott, most famous from her time on the Cosby show as Kara Vanessa fast talking friend. She was our cover feature for the May issue. Last but not least Shelby Brown Miss National USA MISS NC will be hear to inspire young ladies to dream big as she was on our April Issue cover.

Musical Guest:
International Blues sensation Big Ron Hunter will tingle your ears with his amazing take on blues. Its surprising you will not be sad his message will make you smile! He travels the world putting smiles on the face‘s of every captivating audience. From Paris to Australia Ron is know for his gifted hands and voice. You don’t want to miss this unforgettable act.

Dionn Owen and the Renaissance will get you up on your feet with  their gift of song. The music will inspire and uplift your spirits. As they lift up the name of the Lord. Don’t be surprise to fell your feet beginning to tap along with the music.

The Ambassadors jazz band will get you up on your feet.  Your hands  will begin to clap along  with their musical styling’s. They will fill the air with the most eclectic expression of jazz.

Dequan & Charie are the a talented duet singing group. The acoustic sound they produce will put a smile on your face and warm your hearts.  Charie voice will captivate every ear in the audience with hear smooth sultry voice.

Mini fashion show:
Featuring the designs of Markus Summers and Tracey Wolfe. This show will captivate any fashionista’s attention for the best in style. An African American fashion designer from Virginia, with style and an design esthetic all his own.

Art Therapy:
Leo Rucker an acclaimed African American visual artist will be there to educate guest on art and sample four different summer chardonnays. Participants will vote on their favorite and the winner will be feature in next’s month Live Free Magazine, on our wine list feature.

Your ticket includes four 2 oz pours of chardonnay plus complimentary bruschetta and good company! Join us and paint your choice of images on a wine glass! Your ticket covers the cost of (1) wine glass and your arts supplies.
